You can use different recording methods depending on what you want to do with the control that you record. A control is an element in your application that the test can interact with, for instance a button, a text field, or a link. For more information, see "Control types".

Use Verification Mode for controls you want the test to verify.
For example, if you want the test to check the label on a button or the content of a form, record it in Verification Mode.
Create Image-Based Control Mode
Use Create Image-Based Contol Mode to create an image-based control. Essentially, this is a screenshot of a control. The system uses this screenshot to identify and steer screen objects.
