LiveCompare standard apps

LiveCompare includes a set of standard apps, which are installed as part of the LiveCompareApps templates package. The apps are available from the Consumer interface’s Apps screen.

The standard apps are grouped into the following categories. Note that some apps may be in more than one category. A number of these apps depend upon object links caches, performance history data or short dump data which must be downloaded or created in advance by a user with LiveCompare Editor privileges. Please check the ‘Prerequisites’ section of each app’s help topic for details.

Development

Authorization NOTE Impact

The Authorization NOTE Impact app finds used impacted objects based on AUTHORITY-CHECK OBJECT updates introduced by SAP Notes.

Code Guard

The Code Guard app reports on used standard vs. custom code, used vs. unused custom code, used and unused code by Application Area, and custom code quality.

Code Watch

The Code Watch app performs a ‘Run and Optimize’ code analysis based on based on transports, ChaRM change requests, named objects, development classes or developers.

Compare Objects

The Compare Objects app compares a set of objects on two SAP systems. The objects may be specified by name or by using specifications defined in a Select List.

Discover Reusable Tests

The Discover Reusable Tests app searches the Most-at-risk Search Test Repositories in the specified Pipeline to find existing tests that match used objects obtained from the Pipeline’s Usage System.

Fix My Code

The Fix My Code app performs an analysis of your custom ABAP code, using the ‘Fix My Code’ quality scenario to identify source code improvements that may be made when migrating the code to SAP HANA.

Heal Tests

The Heal Tests app retrieves modules with scanned SAPGUI screens from the specified Tosca Test Repository, and compares the screens on a Source and Comparison SAP system. The app creates virtual folders in the specified Test Repository to identify modules and test cases that refer to changed SAP screens.

Impacted Custom Code

The Impacted Custom Code app identifies custom code that requires remediation because of changes in SAP dependencies.

Package Disassembler

The Package Disassembler app disassembles the specified transports or support packs.

Retrofit Date Analysis

The Retrofit Date Analysis app identifies the code and data that should be synchronized between two development systems so that the correct changes may be migrated to a QA system. The analysis is performed for released tasks that were modified after a specified date.

Retrofit Transports Analysis

The Retrofit Transports Analysis app identifies the code and data that should be synchronized between two development systems so that the correct changes may be migrated to a QA system. The analysis is performed for a specified set of transports.

SAP HANA Migration Assessment

The SAP HANA Migration Assessment app assists with an upgrade by reporting on impacted used custom and standard code, unused custom code, and authorized versus used transactions.

SAP HANA Upgrade Analysis

The SAP HANA Upgrade Analysis app performs an upgrade assessment for HANA to HANA version upgrades. It produces an overall project-level Dashboard report, and detailed reports to help with fixing impacted custom code, prioritizing standard SAP testing and surfacing vulnerable integration points.

Cross System Impact Analysis

The Cross System Impact Analysis app is designed for gateway-deployed Fiori implementations where custom UI5 apps on a front-end system are supported by S/4 HANA services on a back-end system. In this environment, changes to the back-end system may impact the apps on the front-end system.

SAP HANA Upgrade Analysis

Smart Impact

The Smart Impact app identifies an optimal (most-at-risk) set of used executables which when tested will exercise each of the changing objects. The analysis is driven by the changing objects and by a set of used objects obtained from a Performance History system.

Smart Impact Learning

The Smart Impact Learning app creates a Smart Impact report from predefined data for use in demonstrations and training.

Test Audit

The Test Audit app reports on which Most-at-risk objects (tokens) have been executed in QA, and optionally which tests have been run in the specified Test Repository.

Test Quality Audit

The Test Quality Audit app finds most-at-risk objects using that use changing objects over the past 3 months, and identifies test hits and gaps for the most-at-risk objects.

Test Quality Audit Learning

The Test Quality Audit Learning app creates a Test Quality Audit report from predefined data for use in demonstrations and training.
