String parameters

String parameters define string values that are used as inputs for some LiveCompare actions. For example, the Read SAP Table action has a String parameter as an action property, which stores the name of the table to be read. If a String parameter for an action accepts one of a specific set of values, the permitted values are available for selection from a drop-down list.

Entered values

To set the value of a String parameter to an entered value, open the Property Editor, click the field next to the ‘String’ action property, enter a string value and click an area of the Property Editor outside the field to confirm your entry. Alternatively, double-click the field, complete the dialog in the lower part of the Workflow Editor and click ‘Save’ or press ENTER to confirm your entry. The value of the parameter is displayed above the parameter node.

Selected values

To set the value of a String parameter to a selected value, open the Property Editor and make a selection in the field next to the ‘String’ action property.

To examine the details for a String parameter after a workflow has been saved, double-click the node or select ‘View Details’ from the node’s context menu.
