An App variant’s

be modified as follows:

To modify an existing string
element, edit its values directly.
To delete an existing string
element, click its ‘Delete Row’ button.
To delete all string elements,
click ‘Delete all’.
To upload String List values
from Excel,
click the ‘Browse…’ button next to the ‘Upload Excel Spreadsheet’ field.
Any existing rows are overwritten with the uploaded data.
To paste a selection of rows
copied from an Excel spreadsheet, click ‘Paste from Excel’. Any existing
rows are overwritten with the pasted data.
The String List component displays a maximum
of five pasted or uploaded rows. If more than five rows have been uploaded
or pasted, click:
‘First’ to display the first
five rows.
‘Next’ to display the next
five rows.
‘Prev’ to display the previous
five rows.
‘Last’ to display the last
five rows.
Click ‘Continue’ to save any changes and return
to the Variant screen. Note that a variant’s String List parameters may
not be modified while the variant is running.
Maximum Number of Pasted
or Uploaded String Elements
By default, a maximum of 1000 string elements
may be pasted or uploaded into a String List parameter from Excel. However,
this maximum may be adjusted using a registry setting as follows:
Navigate
to the following registry folder on the LiveCompare server.
Create
a new DWORD Value entry named MaxPasteRows and set its value to the maximum
number of string elements to be pasted or uploaded. Changes to this registry
setting take effect when the Tricentis LiveCompare Application Server
service is restarted.
