To monitor the execution of workflows or workflow
actions, select the Process Runs folder in the LiveCompare hierarchy
to display the Monitor Process Runs screen. This screen lists the workflows
that are running or scheduled, or have completed in each of LiveCompare’s
registered workspaces. Note that if LiveCompare is project-controlled
and you are logged in as a user with LiveCompare Editor privileges, only the workflows
in your current project are displayed.
The Monitor Process Runs screen displays a
table with the following columns. Click a heading to sort the table by
values in the selected column.
Workspace
The name of the workspace containing the workflow
or workflow action.
Workflow
The name of the workflow. Click a link in the
Workflow column to display the selected workflow.
Run Status
The execution status of the workflow or workflow
action. This column contains one of the following values:

<Blank>
No actions from the workflow have been run
or scheduled for execution.
Running
The workflow or workflow action is currently
running. These rows are highlighted in green. Click the ‘+’ icon to display
the associated username and the start time for the execution.
Success
The workflow or workflow action completed successfully.
Click the ‘+’ icon to display execution details for the workflow or workflow
action.
InQueue
The workflow or workflow action has been queued
because the limit on the number of workflows that can be run at the same
time has been reached. These rows are highlighted in pink. As running
workflows complete, any queued workflows or workflow actions will be started
automatically in sequence. Click the ‘+’ icon to display name of the user
who executed or scheduled the queued workflow.
Aborting
The workflow or workflow action is aborting.
These rows are highlighted in yellow. Click the ‘+’ icon to display further
details. If the workflow or workflow action remains in the ‘Aborting’
state for some time, click the ‘Kill’ button to terminate the workflow’s
process on the LiveCompare server.
Aborted
The workflow or workflow action has been aborted.
Error Termination
The workflow or workflow action terminated
with an error. These rows are highlighted in red. Click the ‘+’ icon to
display further details.
Unknown Termination
The workflow or workflow action terminated
with an unknown error. Click the ‘+’ icon to display further details.
Schedule Info
If a workflow has been scheduled for execution, this column displays the workflow’s schedule, and has a blue background. Click the ‘+’ icon to display the details for the schedule. The details display includes ‘Reschedule’, ‘Unschedule’ and ‘Disable’ buttons (or an ‘Enable’ button) which may be used to manage the workflow’s schedule.
To refresh the display periodically after a
specified number of seconds, enter a value in the ‘Refresh Interval:’
field and click ‘Set Interval’. To prevent the display from being refreshed,
click ‘Stop Refresh’. To refresh the display immediately, click ‘Refresh
Now’.
Click ‘Details...’
next to a workflow in the Monitor Process Runs screen to display the workflow’s
Process Run screen.
If you have LiveCompare Editor privileges,
click ‘Run…’ next to a workflow in the Monitor Process Runs screen to
schedule a workflow for
execution. Click ‘Abort’ to abort a running workflow or to cancel a scheduled
task.
Export to
Excel
Click the ‘Export to Excel’ icon to export
the Process Runs table to Microsoft Excel.
