Analysis Summary

The Analysis Summary page of a LiveCompare Hierarchy or Vault report provides a high-level overview of the report’s results, and has the following sections.

Table Counts

For Vault reports, this section provides a comparison summary for each of the Vault tables, listing the number of rows that are the same, different, in the first compared revision only, or in the second compared revision only. This table is populated if the Create Vault Report action’s Types for Details parameter includes the TABC object type.

The Analysis Summary page of a LiveCompare report includes the following summary sections:

Each section includes the following subsections:

Object Counts by <Classification>

This subsection lists the number of objects compared. Objects are grouped by type, and by the classification used in the summary section.

Compare Differences by <Classification>

This subsection lists the number of compared objects found to be different in the comparison results. Objects are grouped by type, and by the classification used in the summary section.

Number Different by <Classification>

This subsection lists the number of objects found to be different in the comparison results. Objects are grouped by type, and by the classification used in the summary section.

Number in <System1> by <Classification>

This subsection lists the number of objects found only in the first system compared. Objects are grouped by type, and by the classification used in the summary section.

Number in <System2> by <Classification>

This subsection lists the number of objects found only in the second system compared. Objects are grouped by type, and by the classification used in the summary section.

Content Differences by <Classification> %

This subsection lists the content differences for each object compared, as a percentage. Objects are grouped by type, and by the classification used in the summary section.

Top 10 Differences in <Workspace>

For Hierarchy reports, the Analysis Summary page also lists the top ten differences for each of the object types whose details are included in the report. These object types are listed in the Create Hierarchy Report action’s ‘Types for Details’ action property. Click a link to display lower level comparison details for the selected object.
