Execution Registry Settings

The following options apply to the execution of Apps, Web Services and workflows.

Retaining Workspaces

By default, when an App variant or Web Service workflow runs to completion, its associated App or Web Service workspace is unregistered and no longer visible in the LiveCompare hierarchy. To allow all App and Web Service workspaces to remain in the LiveCompare hierarchy after their workflows have completed, carry out the following steps:

  1. Navigate to the following registry folder on the LiveCompare server.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Tricentis\LiveCompare\4.3\Settings

  1. Create a new String Value entry named DontDeleteApps and set its value to X. Changes to this registry setting take effect when new App variants or Web Services are run.

Disabling Emails

If LiveCompare’s email settings have been specified in the Configuration - Email screen, the following emails may be sent from the Apps user interface and the LiveCompare studio.

  • An email will be sent to a user who executes an App variant if the variant completes successfully, is terminated with an error, or is aborted.
  • When a App variant completes, an email containing the App results will be sent to each email address specified in the Variant screen’s ‘Distribute Results’ field.
  • An email will be sent to a user who executes a workflow if it terminates with an Unknown Termination error.
  • If you have Administrator privileges, this behavior may be disabled for all users by accessing the Configuration - Email screen and setting the DisableAppNotifications field to X.
