Uploading App Parameter Values from Excel

The Consumer interface for Apps allows values for Pair List, Select List, String List and Table parameters to be uploaded from an Excel spreadsheet. This may be done from the editor screens for each of the parameter types. To upload parameter values from an Excel spreadsheet, carry out the following steps:

1. Locate the ‘Upload Excel Spreadsheet’ field underneath the parameter whose values are to be uploaded. Click ‘Browse…’.
2. Browse for the Excel spreadsheet to upload, and click ‘Open’.

Rules for Uploading Spreadsheets

Values uploaded into a parameter from Excel replace the parameter’s previous values. If the spreadsheet to be uploaded includes more than one worksheet, LiveCompare imports the worksheet whose name is first in alphabetical order. The worksheet should have a single header row, and at least the same number of columns as the parameter that is being populated.
