Export

The Export screen may be used to download exported workflows, workspaces, log files or crash dump files. Exported workflows, workspaces, log files and crash dump files are saved as time-stamped ZIP files on the LiveCompare server.

Exporting Workflows

To export a workflow, select ‘Export Workflow’ from its hierarchy context menu. In the Export screen, click the ‘Download the file’ link to save the exported workflow’s ZIP file to a directory on your own machine. The ZIP file is named after the current workspace. It includes all the workflows from the current workspace, but only the data from the exported workflow. Exporting a workflow requires LiveCompare Editor privileges.

The workflow’s ZIP file may be sent to Tricentis Technical Support for problem diagnosis or troubleshooting.

Exporting Workspaces

To export a workspace, select ‘Export Workspace’ from its hierarchy context menu. In the Export screen, click the ‘Download the file’ link to save the exported workflow’s ZIP file to a directory on your own machine. The ZIP file is named after the exported workspace.

The workspace’s ZIP file may be sent to Tricentis Technical Support for problem diagnosis or troubleshooting.

Reregistering an Exported Workspace

An exported workspace may be reregistered in LiveCompare by carrying out the following steps:

  1. Extract the workspace’s ZIP file to the <LiveCompare user data dir>\private\Workspaces folder on the LiveCompare server to create a time-stamped workspace directory.
  2. Register the new workspace.

Exporting Log Files

To export log files, select the Administration/Configuration folder in the LiveCompare hierarchy, and click ‘Export Logs’ in the Configuration - Logging screen. Click the ‘Download the file’ link to save the log ZIP file to a directory on your own machine. Exporting log files requires LiveCompare Administrator privileges.

The log ZIP file may be sent to Tricentis Technical Support for problem diagnosis or troubleshooting.

Exporting Crash Dump Files

To export one or more crash dump files to a ZIP file, click the ‘crash dumps’ link in the Administration screen to display the Crash Dumps screen. Select the check boxes next to the crash dump files to export, and click ‘Export Selected’ (note that all the crash dump files may be selected by clicking the check box in the column heading).

In the Export screen, click the ‘Download the file’ link to save the log ZIP file to a directory on your own machine.
