LiveCompare Dashboard

The LiveCompare Dashboard provides an overview of the impact analysis results generated by LiveCompare, and includes links to the reports generated by the Apps user interface. The Dashboard is displayed when a user with Consumer privileges logs in to LiveCompare. A user with Editor privileges may access the Dashboard by clicking Apps tool button. in the Studio Interface.

The LiveCompare Dashboard has the following sections:

Release Impact Analysis

This column chart displays results from each execution of the Smart Impact App or workflow. It shows the number of used, impacted and most-at-risk objects, and the date and time of each run.

Most at Risk Test Coverage

This column chart displays results from each execution of the Smart Impact App or workflow. It shows the number of most-at-risk objects, the number of most-at-risk objects that are covered by at least one test in the specified Test Repository, and the date and time of each run.

Continuous Impact Analysis

This table includes links to the reports generated by LiveCompare’s continuous impact analysis workflows.

Each tab includes the following columns.

Column Description

Analysis System

The system for which the continuous impact analysis workflow was run. Click a link in this column to download the associated Excel report.

Changed Object Analyzed

The number of distinct changed objects analyzed. Note that reports with 0 changed objects are not published. In the InfoSec panel, the Changed value is the sum of the number of changed roles, and the number of changed objects with AUTHORITY-CHECK code differences.

Impacted Objects Identified

The number of distinct impacted objects identified.

Date & Time

The date and time when the Excel report was generated.

Reports

This section lists the reports that have been generated by the following actions, where the Publish parameter is set to ‘true’.

The reports are listed in date order, with results set as Favorites in the App Cockpit screen listed first and marked with Favorite icon.. Only reports that currently exist on the LiveCompare server are shown.

  • For reports generated in the Consumer user interface, each entry the name of the App that generated the report, the age of the report, and a link to the report (named after the variant that generated it).

  • For reports generated in the Studio user interface, each entry the name of the workspace from which the report generated, the age of the report, and a link to the report (named after the workflow that generated it).

  • For reports that display a Dashboard, the report entry includes the number of times the report has been viewed.

Click a report link to display the report in a separate browser tab.

Maximum Number of Reports to Display

The Configuration - Reports screen allows a user with Administrator privileges to set the maximum number of reports to display in the Continuous Impact Analysis and Reports sections of the LiveCompare Dashboard. Enter a value in the DashboardReportsMax field, and click ‘Save’. If this field is not set, 100 is used as the default value.

Navigation Panel

The navigation panel displayed on the left-hand side of each Apps screen, and includes the following icons:

Dashboard tool button. Displays the LiveCompare Dashboard.
Apps tool button. Displays the Apps screen.
Studio tool button. Returns to the LiveCompare Studio (available for users with LiveCompare Editor privileges).
Quick Compare tool button. Displays the Quick Compare Wizard.
LUX tool button. Displays the LUX utility.
Data Cleanser tool button. Displays the Data Cleanser utility.
Contacts tool button. Displays the Contacts utility.

The Dashboard, Apps, LUX, Data Cleanser and Contacts icons are marked with a vertical bar if they are selected in the navigation panel.

Header

The following icons are displayed on the top right-hand side of each Apps screen.

Icon Description
Feedback tool button. Allows you to provide feedback or improvement suggestions for LiveCompare. Log in using your Tricentis Support Portal account details.
Academy tool button. Accesses the Tricentis LiveCompare Consumers playlist from the Tricentis Academy.
Help tool button. Displays help for the current screen.
User tool button Includes options to display your user profile, or to log out.

If LiveCompare is project-controlled, the header includes a drop-down list box from which a project may be selected. In this case, the Apps shown in the Apps screen will be restricted to those in the currently selected project.
