Planning Object Structures

This workflow compares APO planning object structure data retrieved from the /SAPAPO/TSPLOBKO table and its related tables. The comparison results are used to generate an HTML report.

Creating RFC Destinations

Before you begin, you will need to create RFC Destinations for each of the SAP APO systems you wish to compare.

Preparing the Workflow

To prepare the Planning Object Structures workflow, drag its workflow template from the Templates folder into your own workspace, and modify the workflow as follows:

To specify the systems to compare:

  1. Select the System 1 parameter and choose ‘Edit RFC Destination’ from its context menu to display the RFC Destination dialog.

  2. Select the RFC Destination for the first system to compare, then click ‘Save’.

Repeat the above steps to link the System 2 parameter to the RFC Destination for the second system to compare. Save the workflow using the ‘Save’ toolbar button.

Running the Workflow

To run the Planning Object Structures workflow, click the 'Run' toolbar button, choose ‘Run Now’ from the diagram’s context menu, or press F5. The currently running workflow action is marked with an animated display. When the workflow execution has completed, select the Report URL dataset and choose ‘View Details’ from the context menu to access the generated report.

Table Structure

The following diagram shows the structure of the APO tables retrieved and compared by the Planning Object Structures workflow. Each node in the diagram represents an individual table. If a table has more than one alias in the View Definition, the table aliases are shown in brackets.

  • Green nodes represent tables that are used in parent-child relationships. The matching fields from each table are indicated.

  • Yellow nodes represent tables that are used in ‘add table’ relationships. Columns from these tables are added to the parent table when data is retrieved.
