Check Dialog Work Process Parameters
This workflow checks the specified RFC Destination for SAP system parameters that relate to work processes. The following parameters are checked:
Parameter | Description |
---|---|
rdisp/max_wprun_tim | The maximum run time for dialog work processes (in seconds). The default is 600. A value of 0 means no time limit. |
rdisp/wp_no_dia | The total number of dialog work processes on the system. |
The results are stored in the Dialog Work Process Parameters Table dataset, which has the following columns:

Profile | The SAP profile containing the work process parameter. |
Parameter | The parameter name. |
Value | The parameter value. |
Description | The job’s start date. |
Creating RFC Destinations
Before you begin, you will need to create an RFC Destination for the SAP system you wish to analyze.
Preparing the Workflow
To prepare the Check Dialog Work Process Parameters workflow, drag its workflow template from the Templates folder into your own workspace, then modify the workflow as follows:
To specify the system to analyze:

Select the RFC Destination parameter and choose ‘Edit RFC Destination’ from its context menu to display the RFC Destination dialog.

Select the RFC Destination for the system to analyze, then click ‘Save’.
Save the workflow using the ‘Save’ toolbar button.
Running the Workflow
To run the Check Dialog Work Process Parameters workflow, click the ‘Run’ toolbar button, choose ‘Run Now’ from the context menu or press F5. The currently running workflow action is marked with an animated display. When the workflow execution has completed, select the Dialog Work Process Parameters dataset and choose ‘View Details’ from the context menu to view the parameter results.
