Dashboard Report Palette Test

This workflow generates a Dashboard report that includes a column chart displaying each of the colors in the specified palette.

Preparing the Workflow

To prepare Dashboard Report Palette Test workflow, drag its workflow template from the Templates folder into your own workspace.

Setting the Color Palette

The Dashboard Report Palette Test workflow is configured to create a chart that displays the colors from the IntelliCorp palette. To set a different colour palette, carry out the following steps:

  1. Select the Dashboard Spec parameter and choose ‘Edit XML’ from its context menu to display the Generic XML Editor dialog.

  2. Modify each of the <PALETTE> entries to specify the name of a standard or user-defined color palette, then click ‘Save’. See the Dashboard Report Palette Colors help topic for a list of standard color palettes.

  3. Select the Report Name parameter and view its details in the Property Editor.

  4. Enter a report name that refers to the name of your chosen palette.

Save the workflow using the 'Save' toolbar button.

Running the Workflow

To run the Dashboard Report Palette Test workflow, click the 'Run' toolbar button, choose ‘Run Now’ from the diagram’s context menu, or press F5. The currently running workflow action is marked with an animated display. When the workflow execution has completed, select the Report URL dataset and choose 'View Details' from the context menu to access the generated report.

Analysis Input Data

This Excel report contains a copy of the input parameters used to produce the App’s Dashboard report. The value of each input parameter is stored in a separate worksheet, which is named after the parameter whose value it contains.
