U.24 - Impacted IDOCs

This workflow helps to identify where changes made to standard or custom IDOCs on your source SAP system may need to be applied to your target SAP release. This may be the case if SAP has made changes to the same IDOCs as part of the upgrade release.

IDOCs are made up of one or more segments, which are implemented as structures in SAP. The workflow finds standard and custom IDOCs on the source system, and compares their standard structures with the corresponding structures on the target system. The execution history for each IDOC.is obtained from the EDIDC table on the source SAP system.

The results are stored in two Table datasets named Impacted Customized IDOCs and Impacted Used Standard IDOCs. These tables provide data for the Integration and Testing Dashboard reports and Excel spreadsheets.

The Impacted Customized IDOCs table has the following columns:

Column Description
CIMTYP IDOC extension.
IDOCTYP IDOC type.
SEGTYP IDOC segment type.
STATUS The segment type’s comparison status on the source and target systems.

The Impacted Used Standard IDOCs table has the following columns:

Column Description
IDOCTYP IDOC type.
SEGTYP IDOC segment type.
STATUS The segment type’s comparison status on the source and target systems.
