Test on premises
Performing load tests with 1,000 to 10,000 Virtual Users often requires resources which are available on premise. As generally observed, this means that 1 to 15 machines or virtual machines are dedicated to host the Load Generators.
- Tip: The Virtual Users boundaries to define the level of a heavy load test are provided for information only. They strongly correlate with the density of the test scenario, the infrastructure that is affordable, and the objectives to reach. When more resources are necessary, it may be useful to rely on Cloud Load Generators, as described in Test with Cloud Load Generators.
For on-premise heavy tests, some configuration and tuning operations are necessary to increase the capacity of the testing environment including:
- NeoLoad scenarios
- NeoLoad Controller
- NeoLoad Load Generators
- Network conditions
