RealBrowser prerequisites

Hardware

For NeoLoad GUI, see the recommended specifications.

For NeoLoad Load Generators, the recommended minimum specification is:

• CPU: 8

• Memory: 32Go

Lower specifications are possible, but aren't as efficient.

RealBrowser protocol capacity for parallel VUs is strongly linked to the availability and speed of the CPU.

Software

Supported OS are described in the above sections.

Ensure the LG host is free from other processes that may take CPU when you run your RealBrowser test at scale. Some antiviruses and antimalware can impact CPU usage, especially when run on Windows.

Installation

Starting from NeoLoad 9.0.0, a new option to enable the RealBrowser feature is displayed in an installation wizard step. Leave this option enabled to unpack the required browsers into the installation folder.

Note: Browsers can be unpacked from NeoLoad full installers, but not from patch installers.

OS-Specific instructions

Linux

Depending on your Linux distribution, you might need to install additional dependencies to run the browsers.

To do this, in the NeoLoad installation go to Tools > RealBrowser and execute the following script: install-realbrowser-dependencies.sh.

This installs the dependencies you need for your playwright version. If you don't have the playwright.jar in the extlib folder, you are sent an error code.
