Export Requirements and Test Design Reports

In addition to the out-of-the-box reports in the Reports tab and custom dashboards and analytics through Insights, qTest Manager allows users to export reports from Requirements and Test Design.

Export Requirements

You can export Requirements into an HTML or Excel file.

  1. In Requirements, select the Export Requirement Reports icon on the toolbar. Then click Requirement Details report on the menu that appears.

    The Export Requirements window appears.

  2. Using the Right Arrow button, move available fields from the left box to the right box to indicate which fields you want to include on the exported Requirement Details report.

  3. Select the HTML option button or the XLS option button to indicate the format for the exported Requirements file.

If you select the XLS option button, you can choose to merge Requirements into one sheet. Otherwise, each Module will be exported as a separate sheet containing its Requirements.

The report downloads as a .zip file to your computer.

Notes

  • The selected modules must have the same level on the Requirement tree (such as, the same level of parent Modules or child Modules in the same module, etc.). The Export Requirement function will be disabled if you select Modules from different levels (such as, a parent Module and some child Modules of another parent Module).

  • You can only select individual Requirements of one module to export.
