Export Test Execution Reports

In addition to the out-of-the-box reports on the Reports tab and the custom dashboards and analytics in qTest Insights, qTest Manager offers two reports that can be exported from the Test Execution tab.

  • Test Run Detail report. This report displays Test Run details for a selected test execution object.

  • Test Execution and Defects report. This report displays test execution and Defect details for a selected test execution object.

To export the Test Run Detail report or the Test Execution and Defects report, you need the Export Test Runs permission.

Export the Test Run Detail report

To export the Test Run Detail report:

  1. In the tree panel on the Test Execution tab, select a Release, Test Cycle, or Test Suite.

  2. Click the Export Test Run Reports icon in the toolbar. Then select Test Run Detail on the drop-down menu that appears.

The Export Test Run dialog appears.

  3. Using the Right Arrow button, move available fields from the left box to the right box to indicate which fields you want to include on the exported Test Run Detail report.

You can also reorder the Test Case fields using the Up Arrow and Down Arrow buttons.

  4. (Optional) Select the No Cell Merging check box to indicate that each Test Step within a Test Case should display on a separate row. If this check box is not selected, Test Step details are merged in the associated Test Run row, providing a more compact and readable report.

  5. Once you have added the desired fields and rearranged them, as needed, click OK.

The exported report downloads to your computer as a .zip file.
