Launch 1.5.8 Release Notes

March 24, 2020

Host Detail screen enhancements

  • Only display agents associated with active projects in agent list. When editing multiple hosts at one time, qTest Launch now only displays agents that are associated with active projects that the user is a member of.
  • Disabled actions on agents not associated with a user's projects. On the Host Detail screen, users can now only view agents on the Agents tab if the agents are associated with qTest projects that they are not members of. For an agent that is not associated with a user's qTest projects, the following changes have been made.

    • The check box used to select the agent is now disabled.

    • The project name now appears grayed out. A new tooltip displays, which indicates that the agent is associated with a project that the user is not a member of.

    • The Action menu is now disabled for the agent, preventing the user from performing any action on the agent.

  • Clear indication of agents associated with deleted or archived projects. Agents associated with projects that have been deleted or archived now appear in red text. A new tooltip appears when you hover your cursor over the agent name, indicating that the associated project has been deleted or archived. Agents associated with deleted or archived projects can still be deleted.

In addition, when multiple agents are selected for the following bulk actions, new messages now display if there are selected agents that are associated with deleted or archived projects.

    • Activate

    • Deactivate

    • Copy to host

For example, if an agent that is associated with an archived project is selected with multiple agents for a copy to host bulk action, the following message will display: "Only agents associated with active projects will be copied."

For more information about viewing and editing host machines, refer to View and Edit Host Machine and View and Edit Multiple Host Machines.

Scheduled jobs enhancements

  • Hide scheduled jobs associated with deleted or archived projects. Scheduled jobs that belong to deleted or archived projects are no longer displayed in Jobs view.

  • Only return scheduled jobs associated with active projects. When qTest Launch is polled for scheduled jobs from the automation host, Launch now only returns scheduled jobs that are associated with active projects.
