Start the Recorder

With the Recorder, you can create TestCases quickly and easily. You can record a TestCase just by using the application as you normally do. During the recording, you interact with the application, and the Recorder translates your actions into TestCases and corresponding Modules.

This guide explains how to start the Recorder.

Prerequisites

Before you start the Recorder, perform the following actions:

• Make sure the zoom factor of both your browser and the Windows display settings is set to 100% (default).

• If you use a multi-user workspace, check out the project root element or required ComponentFolders.

Start recording automated TestCase

To record automated TestCases, browse to the Home menu and click on the Automated Test Case icon.

When you start recording a browser window, the Recorder checks the browser extension and informs you if it needs to install or update it.
