Use Test Automation Server for SAP with an HTTPS binding

All Test Automation Server for SAP features allow for an HTTPS binding to transfer data. All Test Automation Server for SAP features use an HTTP binding by default until you set up HTTPS configuration as described here.

If you want to use an HTTPS binding, install Test Automation Server for SAP with the setting https.

Set up HTTPS configuration for Tricentis Test Automation for SAP Service Configuration

Once you set up Test Automation Server for SAP with an HTTPS binding, configure Test Automation Server for SAP services to use HTTPS connections. To do so, follow the steps below:

1. Open Tricentis Test Automation for SAP Service Configuration from the Windows Start menu.

2. Insert your Certificate Thumbprint into the Certificate Thumbprint field of the following service tabs:

   • Test Automation for SAP Administration Console

   • Tricentis Test Automation for SAP Authentication Service

   • Tricentis Test Automation for SAP Server Landing Page

   • Tricentis Test Automation for SAP Project Service

   • Tricentis Test Automation for SAP Service Discovery

   • Tricentis Test Automation for SAP Service Configurator

   • Tricentis Test Automation for SAP Test Data Service

   Ensure that you have copied your certificate thumbprint correctly. In some cases, the thumbprint contains an "invisible" unicode character, which causes issues. For more information, see the Microsoft documentation.

3. Click Save to save your changes and finish the configuration.
