Set up Tricentis Test Automation for SAP for users

To set up Tricentis Test Automation for SAP for users, follow the steps below:

  1. Create the work environment for users (see chapter "Create and manage workspaces").

The work environment in Tricentis Test Automation for SAP is a so-called workspace. This workspace is made up of various sections in which you create, design, and run your tests.

You can create two different kinds of workspaces:

    • Create single-user workspaces if only one person needs access to data.

    • Create multi-user workspaces if several people need access to the same data. In this case, you have several workspaces on several machines; one workspace per machine. All workspaces are connected to one common repository.

Multi-user workspaces simplify your data administration since you save all project data to one central location. A check in / check out mechanism ensures that users don't interfere with each others work.

  2. Create and manage users (see chapter "Administrate users and user groups").

Tricentis Test Automation for SAP offers two types of user management:

    • Test Automation for SAP Commander user management if you want to manage multiple users for a specific project.

    • Tricentis Test Automation for SAP User Administration if you want to centrally manage multiple users across multiple projects.

You need to install the Tricentis Test Automation for SAP Server to use Tricentis Test Automation for SAP User Administration.
