The Tricentis team is excited to unveil Tricentis Tosca 12.1.
This chapter provides you with an overview of our Tosca Version 12.1 key features. For a detailed list of all new features, please download the Technical Release Notes from the Tricentis Support Portal.
With Tricentis Tosca12.1Background Compacting automatically compacts the closed workspace in order to reduce disk usage and improve overall performance. In the hint section Tricentis Tosca sends notifications on the status of compacting and recommendations for performance improvement.
With Tricentis Tosca 12.1, all existing and new Cloud customers will automatically benefit from a new high-availability architecture that is more resilient to unplanned failures and has no downtime or performance degradation during maintenance and backup operations. The new high-availability architecture is based on three fundamental system design principles: 1) redundant architecture, 2) no single point of failure, and 3) automated failure detection and response. It supports testing of your most critical applications and systems, from your core SAP systems to critical web and mobile applications.
With Tricentis Tosca 12.1 we introduce the Excel Engine 3.0, which enables you to test Microsoft Excel and use it as a data source with the Engines 3.0 technology stack. In addition, performance improved up to ten times compared to the classic Excel implementation.
As of Tricentis Tosca12.1, test managers can subscribe to Interactive Test sessions to get notifications on new test results in the hint section and trigger Autopoll function to automatically download new data. In Tosca Commander you can drag and drop TestCases and see a TestCase view of the session content. Testers using the standalone Interactive Testing Agent program, can add comments to TestSteps and TestStepValues.
As of Tricentis ToscaVersion 12.1 you can interact with your mobile device directly from your Windows machine when you run the Mobile Scan. Using Live View, you can perform a swipe, click, or long tap in your mobile application; send keyboard input to text fields; or use the hardware buttons to navigate on your device. Although the screen orientation adjusts automatically, you can still change it in Live View based on your needs. All this works out of the box, without any additional installation.
With Tricentis Tosca12.1, the Tosca BI AddIn includes the SQL Editor. The SQL Editor allows you to create and test SQL statements before you run your TestCase. This makes creating SQL statements much easier, as you don't need to escape special characters in your SQL statements anymore.
Additionally, Tricentis Tosca 12.1 has a new setting that enables SQLite extension loading for external DLL files or the SQLite.Interop.dll library that is already installed with Tricentis Tosca.
Furthermore, the HTML error report for Row by Row Comparisons has a new design and makes it easier to find differences between source and target by offering a sort/filter functionality.
Tosca Orchestrated Service Virtualization
As of Tricentis Tosca 12.1, you can work with Microsoft Message Queues (MSMQ) and Apache Kafka messaging. Tosca OSV now also supports Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) protocol for ActiveMQ and Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) connections for the environment.
