Select controls you want to steer

To select mobile controls, follow the steps below:

1. Connect to your device as described in chapter "Start the Mobile Scan and connect".

2. In the subsequent scan window, choose controls by selecting the respective check box.

3. You can change the identification method. For instance, you can identify controls by their properties. The Mobile Engine 3.0 supports all identification methods except Identify by Image. For more information on identifying controls, see chapter "Identify controls in Tosca XScan ".

4. After you have selected all controls you want to steer, perform one of the following actions:

   • Click the  Save icon to save the Module and close the scan window.

   • Click Finish Screen to scan other screens of your mobile application.

   • Click Select new application to go back to the Mobile Scan window and select a different application or device.

Use the Highlight selection option

If you have enabled Live View, you can use the Highlight selection option. In this case, the scan highlights the controls you select in the preview of the device in Live View.

To highlight controls, click on the Highlight selection menu button.
