Tosca Webservice Engine 3.0

As of Tricentis Tosca 12.2, the Webservice Engine 3.0 is no longer supported. By default, you cannot create WSE TestCases in API Scan.

For information on how to re-enable scanning WSE TestCases in API Scan, see chapter "Web service".

Tosca Webservice Engine 3.0 allows Webservices to be steered via Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP). Webservices using SOAP (Simple Object Acces Protocol) or REST Webservices (Representational State Transfer) can be steered.

The Tosca Webservice Engine 3.0 is automatically installed during the Tricentis Tosca standard installation.

The prerequisites for using Tosca Webservice Engine 3.0 can be found in the System Requirements.

Please refer to XML Engine 3.0 for further details on how to edit XML structures.

Please refer to JSON Engine 3.0 for further details on how to use JSON structures.

To be able to work with the Webservice Engine 3.0, you must import the following Standard subset XModules:

  • TBox XEngines->Parameter Data

  • TBox XEngines->API

The following chapters describe how to use these Modules.
