Start scanning

Test objects are scanned via Tosca XScan in the Modules section.

To scan graphical user interfaces (GUIs) with Tosca XScan, follow the steps below:

1. Right-click onto a Module folder, or use the dynamic menu Modules and select Scan Application->Desktop Scan.

The Tosca XScan Select application window opens.

2. Select the required window in XScan and click on the Scan button, or simply double-click onto the required window to start the scan process.

   • If you want to refresh the found windows, click on the Refresh button.

   • If you right-click onto an application window, you can switch the engine used for scanning your application.

   Tosca XScan will then scan the test object and open in basic or advanced view. Tosca XScan remembers the last state when it was open

3. Select all controls to be steered (see chapter "Select controls in the test object").
