DATABASE I Creating Modules

The Tosca Database Engine allows you to scan Modules from databases or update existing Modules using Tosca Wizard.

Scanning Modules

Database Modules are scanned in the Tosca Wizard via the menu entryFile->Scan DB.

The ODBC Logon dialog box opens. It lists all available ODBC databases in the DSN combo box.

Select DSN and enter user data

After the successful registration, all Tables and Views, including schema, available in the selected database are displayed. System tables are hidden.

Updating database Modules

Tosca Commander™ offers the possibility of updating Modules using the function Synchronize with Wizard (see chapter "Synchronize Modules").

Update Modules

The ODBC Logon (see "Scanning Modules") is maintained for Modules already scanned, under the property WizardConnectDB so that no manual logon is required after updating the Module.
