You need the following options to use the Hints for workspaces. Tosca shows hints whenever you can optimize the performance of a workspace.

Options - Optimize Perspectives

Maximum amount of time in seconds a perspective may need to refresh |
Define the maximum time for a perspective to refresh. You have to specify the time in seconds. After the specified refresh time has elapsed, a hint provides possible options for optimizing perspectives. |

Enable Hint "Optimize Perspectives" |
If you enable this option and the specified refresh time for perspectives has elapsed, Tosca displays a hint to provide tips for optimizing perspectives. |
Options - Workspace size

Enable Hint "Workspace size" |
If you enable this option, Tosca displays a warning once your workspace size surpasses 5GB. The hint provides best practices to reduce workspace size. For more information about the best practices to reduce workspace size, refer to this knowledge base article. |
Options - Compact Workspace

Timespan in hours in which to check again if "Compact Workspace" is necessary |
Define the time interval for the Compact Workspace hint to appear. Specify the time in hours. |

Enable Hint "Compact Workspace" |
If you enable this option, Tosca displays a hint for the option Compact Workspace. The hint appears based on the time interval you set, and every 168 hours by default. |
