Upgrade to Distributed Execution with Automation Object Service

When you upgrade from Distributed Execution without AOS to Distributed Execution with AOS (Automation Object Service), you can keep your common repositories and settings. There are only a few things you need to do before continuing to work with Tosca Distributed Execution as before.

If you upgrade from Tosca Commander or Tosca Server Version 12.3 or lower, first uninstall the previous version of Tosca Commander and do a clean installation of the new version. Make a backup of your configurations and customizations.

If you do not uninstall the previous version and only update it with the installer, Distributed Execution with AOS will not work.

To upgrade to Distributed Execution with AOS, follow the steps below:

  1. Activate Distributed Execution with AOS.

  2. Create a workspace for Automation Object Service.

  3. Create and configure the test results folder.

  4. Make sure that the connection between Tosca Commander and Tosca Distribution Server is correctly configured.

  5. Optionally, remove the workspaces you set up for Tosca Distribution Agents. These are no longer necessary.

Switch from Distributed Execution with AOS to Distributed Execution without AOS

To switch back from Distributed Execution with AOS to Distributed Execution without AOS, follow the steps below:
