Create Salesforce Modules

Salesforce Modules are XBrowser Modules.

You can create Salesforce Modules in the following ways:

• Use Tosca XScan on your Salesforce application. In this case, you scan Salesforce like any other application: open the respective Salesforce page and manually select the controls that you want to steer.

• Use the Salesforce Scan. Salesforce Scan connects to your Salesforce instance and automatically creates Modules from all controls that can be accessed.

Scan unique controls

In Salesforce Lightning Experience, it is possible to have more than one editors (Inline edit and New/Edit options) open at the same time.

Tricentis recommends having only one editor open when you scan your Salesforce application. This way, you ensure that controls are unique and steerable.

If you scan your Salesforce application with more than one editors open, some controls, e.g. Save, Save&New, and Cancel buttons, cannot be unique. Therefore, your application cannot be steerable.
