TestData - Update type

Tricentis Test Data Service enables you to update types in your database.

To do so, use the TestData - Update type Module .

In case security is enabled, the functionality described on this page may be restricted depending on the user groups you belong to. To set your access rights, contact your Administrator.

This Module is part of the Standard subset. You can find it under Standard modules->Test Data Management->Test Data Service.

Example

The following example shows how to update a type in your database.

To do so, follow the steps below: 

1. Complete the steps as described in see chapter "The prerequisite steps for TestData Modules".

2. Drag and drop the TestData - Update type Module onto the TestCase Sample TestCase Using TDS (see chapter "Create TestSteps from Modules").

3. Tosca automatically creates a new TestStep called TestData - Update type with the XTestStepValues Existing TDS type and New type name.

4. As an example, enter car as the Value for Existing TDS type and enter vehicle as the Value for New type name.
