Create a new connection
To create a new connection in the Tosca DI Connection Manager, follow the steps below:

Open the Connection Manager in one of the following ways:

Click on Manage Connections in the Tools menu or in the dynamic Data Integrity menu.

Right-click a DI folder and select Manage connections from the context menu.

Click Manage connections directly in a Tosca DI Wizard. This option is available in all Vital Checks and Field Tests Wizards.

In the Connections section, click Add.

In the Connection name field, enter a name for your connection.

From the Connection type drop-down menu, select which type of connection you want to create:

ODBC data source: connect to an ODBC connection you have configured in the ODBC Data Source Administrator.

ODBC connection string: use an ODBC connection string.

SQLite: use a native SQLite connection.

Connection Manager: select a connection type

You now have to define your connection depending on your test requirements. To do so, follow the instructions in the following chapters:

Define a Data Integrity connection: an ODBC data source or ODBC connection string connection that includes metadata.

Define a Database connection: an ODBC data source, ODBC connection string, or SQLite connection without metadata.

Use the Connection Manager help overlay
The Connection Manager offers a help overlay that contains tool tips for various elements of the Connection Manager.
To activate it, click the icon in the top right corner of the Connection Manager.
The subsequent overlay contains icons you can click for further information on individual elements.

To close a help window, click on the x in the top right corner of the help window.
To close the Help overlay, click the icon again.
