Set and change user passwords

As an admin, you can set passwords for users. The user has to enter this password to open the workspace.

Users can change their passwords later on.

Set a password

To set a password for a user, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Usermanagement tab.

  2. Right-click on a user and select Set password from the context menu.

  3. In the subsequent dialog, enter a password and click OK.

  4. In the next dialog, enter the password again and click OK. The password is now set.

Change a password

To change your user password, follow the steps below:

  1. Open the Usermanagement tab.

  2. Right-click on the project root element and select Change my password from the context menu.

  1. In the subsequent dialog, enter your old password and click OK.

  2. In the next dialog, enter your new password and click OK.

  3. In the next dialog, enter the new password again and click OK. The password is now changed.

Admins can also change user passwords. Doing so does not interrupt the session if the user is currently working with Tosca Commander. The new password will not be required until the next sign-in.
