Automate embedded Edge
You can steer embedded Microsoft Edge applications version 44 or older.
The procedure below does not work if you use Microsoft Edge version 79 or newer. |
To steer embedded Microsoft Edge applications, follow the steps bellow:
-
Set the setting Scan Microsoft Edge with Internet Explorer engine to True.
-
Scan the application you want to steer (see chapter "Create XBrowser Modules").
If you have the extension for Microsoft Edge installed, in Tosca XScan right-click the application window you want to scan and change the engine to scan your application to Html (Internet Explorer embedded).
-
Create the test configuration parameter Browser on the level of the TestCase you want to execute.
In the Value column of the test configuration parameter enter InternetExplorer.
-
Steer the scanned controls as described in chapter "Steer XBrowser controls".
