Link RequirementSets to ExecutionLists

You can link RequirementSets to ExecutionLists in the Requirements section. This allows you to have a quick overview of your project.

You can link any number of ExecutionLists to a specific RequirementSet.

To do so, drag and drop an ExecutionList or ExecutionLists onto the target RequirementSet.

In the Requirements section, Tosca Commander displays the ExecutionList as part of the linked RequirementSet.

Unlink ExecutionLists

Tosca Commander automatically synchronizes between the Execution and the Requirements section.

If you delete a linked ExecutionList in the Execution section, Tosca Commander displays it with the name <No ExecutionList linked> in the Requirements section. The icon of the unlinked ExecutionList changes from to .

You can now link a new ExecutionList to this unlinked ExecutionList via drag and drop.

Exclude linked ExecutionLists from synchronization

If you are working in a multi-user environment, you can exclude ExecutionLists from synchronization. This allows you to load only objects that are relevant to the workspace, which improves performance. For more, see chapter "Synchronizing data".

To exclude ExecutionLists from synchronization, follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure the relevant ExecutionList is checked in.

  2. Right-click on the ExecutionList and select Exclude tree from Synchronization from the context menu.

Context menu option Exclude tree from synchronization

Tosca Commander greys out the excluded ExecutionList. Its icon in the Execution section changes from to . If the ExecutionList is linked to a RequirementSet, it will also be greyed out in the Requirements section.

ExecutionList excluded in Execution Section and Requirement section

By default, smart inclusion is enabled. This means that if you click on an excluded object to expand it, Tricentis Tosca assumes you want to work with this object and will automatically include it again.

You can disable smart inclusion by changing the value of the setting EnableSmartInclusion in your ToscaCommander.exe.config file to False.
