Excel Engine 3.0

Use the Excel Engine 3.0 to test Microsoft Excel files 2007 and higher.

It allows you to create the following file formats:

  • Unicode Text (*.txt)

  • XML Spreadsheet 2003 (*.xml)

  • Microsoft Excel 5.0/95 Workbook (*.xls)

  • CSV (Comma delimited) (*.csv)

  • Formatted Text (Space delimited) (*.prn)

  • Text (Macintosh)(*.txt)

Please note that the Excel Engine 3.0 supports the creation of the listed formats.

However, the capabilities of the file formats themselves determine how you can interact with the files and what you can modify. For instance, you can't add worksheets to a .txt file or run macros in a .xlsx file.

Installation

The Excel Engine 3.0 is part of the Tricentis Tosca standard installation.
