Business-based test objects are steered in the TestCases section (blue). The TestStepValues are the actual steering parameters and can thus fulfill various duties.
Control values are generally entered or verified via the ActionMode and the Value columns. This may include an input into an EditBox, the selection of an item from a list, etc.
