If a TestCase is marked as a TestCase Template, it must refer to a template, which is provided as the data source, so that TestSteps can be associated with test data.

Microsoft® Excel template
To refer to an Excel worksheet as a DataSource, the path to the Excel file has to be entered in the TestCase properties under SchemaPath.

It is also possible to choose the Excel file in a dialog window and to select the corresponding worksheet.
Documents in Microsoft® Excel 97-2003 formats can be specified as Microsoft® Excel references.
Use file reference as schema definition
In Tosca Commander, Excel templates can be embedded or referenced (see chapter "Manage file attachments"). It is also possible to use these files as data source for a TestCase template.

Select the embedded Excel template to be used as data source.

Drag the Excel template to the TestCase template and drop it there.

Select the option Assign SchemaDefinition from the pop-up menu.

Press the OK button to accept the assigned data source.
