Set up Tosca Data Integrity

To use Tosca Data Integrity (DI), you need a valid Data Integrity license or a Tosca BI license from previous versions. For further information on licenses, contact your Tricentis sales person.

Tosca Data Integrity is part of the Tricentis Tosca standard installation.

For detailed information regarding software versions and hardware requirements for Tosca DI, refer to the system requirements.

Install Tosca Data Integrity

You can enable Tosca DI for immediate use in the Tricentis Tosca installer.

To do so, select the check box on the Tosca Data Integrity page.

If you have not enabled Tosca DI during the Tricentis Tosca installation, you can always enable it later.

To enable Tosca DI, follow the steps below:

  1. Open Tosca Commander.

  2. Navigate to Project->Options->Tosca DI.

  3. Select Enabled.

  4. Click Apply.

  1. In the subsequent dialog, confirm with OK.

  2. Click OK to close the Options dialog.

  1. Close Tosca Commander. Once you reopen it, you can see the DI section in your workspace.

Roll out Tosca Data Intergity

If you need to roll out Tosca DI to multiple machines, you can enable it via the configuration. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Perform the Tricentis Tosca standard installation.

  2. Open the ToscaCommander.exe.config file, located at %COMMANDER_HOME%.

  3. In the userSettings section, go to Tricentis.TCAddIns.VitalChecksAddIn.Properties.Settings.

  4. Set the value for Enabled to True.

  1. Install the modified Tricentis Tosca package on all machines that you want to use for your Tosca DI tests.

Set up your workspace for Tosca Data Integrity

To set up your workspace for Tosca DI, follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to the folder _Tosca DI Templates.

  2. Import the Tosca Data Integrity Modules And Samples.tsu subset into this folder.

    The subset is located at %TRICENTIS_PROJECTS%\ToscaCommander.

  1. Create Tosca DI project properties as described below.

Do not rename either of the following folders: Data Integrity Testing or _Tosca DI Templates.

The Tosca DI Wizards require individual project properties.

The Vital Checks and Field Tests Wizards generate these project properties automatically when you start them for the first time.
