Record TBOMs

If you want to track changes in SAP with the help of the Business Process Change Analyzer (BPCA), you have to record Technical Bills of Materials (TBOMs).

SAP stores information for certain objects in TBOMs. BPCA can use your recorded TBOMs to determine any changes in the SAP system.

Make sure that no other trace is running in the system under test in order to be able to record TBOMs.

Enable TBOM recording

You have to enable TBOM recording for the Test Configuration you want to execute in order to be able to record.

The Test Configuration for which you want to record TBOMs has to be synchronized with Tricentis Tosca (see chapter "Synchronize Test Configurations in Tricentis Tosca").

In order to enable TBOM recording, proceed as follows:

  1. Start the SAP Solution Manager Work Center (see chapter "Access the SAP Solution Manager Work Center").

  2. Select the Solution Documentation option.

    The Solution Documentation window opens.

  3. Select the Transaction containing the required Test Configuration.

  4. In the Elements of <'Transaction'> list, right-click the Transaction and select the entry New->TestCases->Test Configuration (Assign) from the context menu.
