Tricentis Analytics version 1.3.1 is compatible with qTest version 9.7 and Tosca version 12.3.

Using Tricentis Analytics without Tosca

If you are not using Tosca with Tricentis Analytics, it is recommended that the Snapshotter service is either modified or disabled to avoid generating QVD files.

Option 1: Modify the Snapshotter Service

During installment of Tricentis Analytics, the interval for reloading applications will be configured. If you wish to keep this schedule, you can modify the Snapshotter service to prevent QVD files from being generated.

  1. On the navigation bar on the left side of the console in the QMC, select Tasks.

  2. On the navigation bar on the left side of the screen, double-click Reload qTest Enterprise Analytics.

  3. In the Properties menu on the right side of the screen, select Triggers to display the Triggers section on the page.

  4. Select the schedule item in the Triggers section.

  5. Select the Actions drop-down menu.

  6. Select Delete from the drop-down menu.

  7. If the schedule was enabled, select the Apply button to complete the deletion.

  8. Navigate to the following file: %Tricentis Program Files%\Tosca Testsuite\Tricentis.Analytics.Snapshotting.Snapshotter.json.

  9. Verify the content and locate the string "ReloadTasks".

    • If the string is present, verify that the data is as follows:

      "ReloadTasks": [
          "Reload qTest Enterprise Analytics"
    • If the string is not present, copy the following ReloadTasks string and paste it to the Tricentis.Analytics.Snapshotting.Snapshotter.json file. Paste the string below the declaration of "QTestProjects". Then save the file.

      "ReloadTasks": [
          "Reload qTest Enterprise Analytics"

  10. Go to Services and restart the Tricentis.Analytics.SnapshotScheduler service.

Option 2: Disable the Snapshotter Service

If you want to keep the scheduled configuration as it is in the QMC, you can stop or unregister the Snapshotter service.
