Release notes

This chapter gives you an overview of the key features introduced in each new version of the Tricentis License Server.

For information on how to upgrade your server, see chapter "Upgrade the Tricentis License Server".

Version 5.0.0 (January 24, 2023)

Tricentis License Server now supports Windows Server 2022. We've also upgraded all .NET components to version 6.0. Plus, the server now utilizes Flexera version 2023.11 and Elasticsearch 7.17.15.

Version 4.0.0 (July 12, 2022)

Tricentis License Server now utilizes Flexera version 2022.05 and Elasticsearch 7.17.3.

Additionally, the latest version of the server offers some exciting enhancements for the license usage tracking service:

Version 3.2.0 (December 22, 2021)

Tricentis License Server 3.2.0 now utilizes the latest version of Elasticsearch 6.8.22 which contains the latest release of Apache Log4j 2.17. This addresses false positive concerns with some vulnerability scanners in Tricentis License Server 3.1.0.

Version 3.1.0 (December 17, 2021)

Tricentis License Server 3.1.0 supports the latest version of Elasticsearch 6.8.21. This mitigates a potential security issue caused by a dependency on a vulnerable version of Log4j.

Furthermore, upon Flexera's recommendation, their FlexNet License Server Manager component was removed from the Tricentis License Server.

Version 3.0.1 (December 21, 2020)

As of version 3.0.1, the Tricentis License Server supports Windows Server 2019, as well as Oracle Java Runtime Environment (64-bit) version 11 and OpenJDK (64-bit) version 11.

Version 2.1.0 (December 3, 2020)

Version 2.1.0 introduces minor security improvements for the Tricentis License Server.

As of this version, the new Tricentis License Usage Reporting tool enables you to collect license usage data and create reports, for instance, in Microsoft Excel.

As of this version, the Tricentis License Server setup no longer contains Java. To use the Tricentis License Server, you need to install Oracle Java Runtime Environment (64-bit) version 8 (see chapter "Configure the Java Runtime Environment").

Version 1.3.0 (April 23, 2019)

As of this version, you can define a timeout for the installation process.

As of the release of Tricentis Tosca version 12.0, the Tricentis License Server has its own setup and is released independently from Tosca Commander or Tosca Server.
