Monitor execution progress

Test execution progress data is essential to determine how efficiently your testing activities progress over a period of time. It helps you monitor the success ratio of your testing tasks and provides important performance insights. This lets you identify quality bottlenecks, so you can communicate them to your development teams.

To monitor execution progress, go to Reports > Execution progress. This opens an interactive dashboard which contains the following information:

  • Execution result over time: history of execution results for the specified period (stacked or clustered).

  • Total statuses result: number of test runs by execution results for the specified period.

  • Test execution result by priority: number of test runs by priority and status for the specified period (stacked or clustered).

Filter your data

By default, Tricentis Test Management for Jira displays all test data from the last seven days. You can drill down to specific times and areas of interest:

  • Change the reporting period.

  • Filter for one or more Assignees.

  • Limit the data to specific Components.

  • Select one or more Versions & Cycles.

Components are not available for team-managed environments in Jira. If you want to use the Components filter in such environments, you can leverage a third-party solution, such as Octo. Note that we don't offer support for third-party solutions.

Share your report

Data isn't as useful if you're the only one that sees it. You can easily share whatever view you create:

  • To share data with people who have access to your Jira project, give them the URL of your Execution progress report.

  • To share data with people who don't have access - or people who just prefer PDFs - select Export to PDF.
