View test summary

In Tricentis Test Management for Jira, the test summary provides a general overview of how testers in your project progress with their testing activities. It visualizes the size of the testing scope and provides information on executed and unexecuted tests.

To view the test summary, go to Reports > Test summary. This opens an interactive dashboard which contains the following information:

  • Created test cases: total number of test cases you created during the reporting period.

  • Abandoned test cases: total number of test cases without an associated test run.

  • Executed test runs: total number of executed test runs.

  • Unexecuted test runs: total number of test runs which haven't been executed yet.

  • Test case creation: number of test cases you created over a period of time (per day and cumulative).

  • Test execution: number of test cases you executed over a period of time (per day and cumulative).

Filter your data

By default, Tricentis Test Management for Jira displays the data of all components and assignees of the last seven days. You can drill down to specific times and areas of interest:

  • Change the reporting period.

  • Filter for one or more Assignees.

  • Limit the data to specific Components.

Components are not available for team-managed environments in Jira. If you want to use the Components filter in such environments, you can leverage a third-party solution, such as Octo. Note that we don't offer support for third-party solutions.

Share your report

Data isn't as useful if you're the only one that sees it. You can easily share whatever view you create:

  • To share data with people who have access to your Jira project, give them the URL of your Test summary report.

  • To share data with people who don't have access - or people who just prefer PDFs - select Export to PDF.
