Copy to Workspace

If you have LiveCompare Editor privileges, a workflow, workflow template, template folder or App may be copied to a new or existing workspace. To copy a workflow, workflow template or template folder, select the item in the LiveCompare hierarchy and choose ‘Copy to Workspace…’ from its context menu. To copy the workflows associated with an App select the App in the App Store screen and click ‘Copy to Workspace’ in the App Details screen. In each case, the Copy to Workspace screen is displayed.

Copying to a New Workspace

To copy the selected item to a new workspace, carry out the following steps:

  1. Select the ‘Create Workspace’ radio button, and complete the Name and Description fields to identify the new workspace.
  2. Click ‘Copy’. The new workspace is created and the selected workflow, template, template folder or App is copied to it. If LiveCompare is project-controlled, the workspace will be added to your current project.

Copying to an Existing Workspace

To copy the selected item to an existing workspace, carry out the following steps:

  1. Select the ‘Select Workspace’ radio button. The list box displays the available target workspaces. If LiveCompare is project-controlled, only workspaces in the current project are listed.
  2. Select a target workspace and click ‘Copy’. the selected workflow, template, template folder or App is copied to the target workspace.

If a copied workflow, workflow template or App calls any workflows using the Run Workflow action, the called workflows are also copied to the workspace. If a template folder is selected, workflows from the template folder and any of its subfolders are copied to the workspace. Workflows or workflow templates that already exist in the target workspace are overwritten with the copied workflow or workflow template, and backed up as <Workflow Name>_<Version Number>.
