Security Enhancements

When clicking the Save button in any of the sections or adding/deleting a plugin, a message will appear if the action was successful or failed with error details. If the user clicks the Close button without saving the configuration changes, a confirmation message will display asking if they want to save the setting before closing. If the user clicks No or Cancel, the current behavior will remain and the user will be navigated to the Home page. If the user clicks OK, a message will appear if the action was successful or failed with error details.

A new section will be added to the Settings page of Explorer & Sessions called Web Explorer Global Settings on the next Web Explorer. Site Admins can now Enable/Disable the Login Automatically feature in Web Explorer. They can also set the Login Automatically setting to expire in a certain amount of time. The default setting will be Login Automatically with the display time set to 2 years.

Security Enhancements

  • The Amazon S3 access key/private key needs to be rotated every 90 days for security reasons. Sessions currently uses keys to access to AWS S3. This has been changed to use IAM Role and Instance Profile so as to reduce the effort to rotate the keys and also make the app more secure. The enhancement only affects OD deployment only.

  • Fixed security issue as reported by Node.js community: https://Node.js.org/en/blog/vulnerability/february-2020-security-releases/.
