Install Test Automation Server for SAP via setup dialog

To install Test Automation Server for SAP, follow the steps below:

Double-click the installation exe file. This opens the installer that guides you through the installation process.

On the first page of the Test Automation Server for SAP Installer, click Continue.

If you already have Tricentis Tosca Server installed and you want to install Tricentis Test Automation Server for SAP, an error message appears stating that OEM cannot be installed because a different version of Tricentis Test Automation Server for SAP is currently installed. In this case, you must manually remove your installed version first and restart the installation process.

Navigate the Installer

You can see all steps of the installation process on the left side of the Installer window.

To navigate between the installation steps, click Next to proceed or Back to modify a previous step. You can also return to a previous step by clicking on it.

Prerequisites

The installer checks if all required components are installed on your computer. If not, the system installs them during the setup.

The icon indicates that a component is available.
The icon indicates that Tricentis Test Automation Server for SAP Installer needs to install a missing component, which it does automatically.

If an icon is white, it only indicates that a particular component is selected in the list.

Click Next to continue.

Select features for the installation

In the subsequent screen, check Tricentis Test Automation Server for SAP features to install.

Click Configure to continue.

Select the installation directory

Select the install location. Tricentis Test Automation Server for SAP Installer provides default destination folders for the installation of Tricentis Test Automation Server for SAP.

If you want to change the default destination folders, you must select directories to which all Tricentis Test Automation Server for SAP users have appropriate file permissions.

Click Next to continue.

Configure Services

Configure shared settings. Depending on which features you selected, you can configure the following settings in Service Configuration:

HTTP/HTTPS: Select an HTTP or HTTPS binding for the Tricentis Test Automation Server for SAP features.

If you want to protect your transferred user data, create an HTTPS binding for each service after you have installed Tricentis Test Automation Server for SAP (see chapter "Use Test Automation Server for SAP with an HTTPS binding").

Port: The default port is 80 for HTTP bindings, and 443 for HTTPS bindings.

You can specify a different port. The port must be a value between 1 and 65535. You can automatically verify the availability of the port by entering a port number.

Click Next to continue.

Review the installation

In the Review dialog, you can review the installation and configuration. If you agree with the installation summary, click Install to run the installation.

Finish the installation

The Tricentis Test Automation Server for SAP installer displays the installation summary and indicates whether all components have been installed successfully.

In the Summary dialog, you can check the installation results:

The icon indicates a successful installation.
The icon indicates an unsuccessful installation of a component.

Summary

If a component did not install properly, click Show Logs. You can also find the installation logs in the %TEMP% folder. If you cannot identify the issue based on the logs, contact Tricentis Support.

You can perform additional actions before you finish the installation:

Open Tricentis Test Automation Server for SAP in a browser: Select this check box to open in your browser.
Open the Service Configurator: Select this check box to Configure services via Service Configuration.

If you have selected the HTTPS option during installation, then HTTPS bindings must be set up for each service. For more information, see see chapter "Use Test Automation Server for SAP with an HTTPS binding".

Click Finish to complete the installation.
