Change existing connections

You can modify connections that you created with the Tosca BI Connection Manager at any time. You can modify the following connection details:

  • All information in the General section for Database connections, BI connections, and SQLite connections.

  • SQL statements for BI connections in the three SQL tabs.

If you change the category in the General section, the Connection Manager overwrites the current SQL statements with the default statements of the new category. This includes all changes you made to your current statements. You can confirm or decline this in the subsequent dialog.

Alternatively, you can modify your connection directly in the Configurations section. However, Tricentis recommends that you change your connections in the Connection Manager. The Connection Manager provides you with connection and SQL statement checks that ensure you don't save erroneous connections.
