Scan an OData service

Tricentis Tosca API Scan enables you to scan Open Data Protocol (OData) services. OData is an HTTP-based protocol for creating and consuming RESTful APIs.

You can either query the OData service root or the metadata. API Scan scans the following parts of OData:

• Actions/Functions

• EntitySets, Singletons and Function-/ActionImports

To scan an OData service, scan the URI as described in chapter "Scan a URI".

Work with scan results

Once API Scan has scanned the URI, the project tree on the left side displays the scan results. For OData services, API Scan automatically generates messages with a JSON payload.
