To set up Tosca Distributed Execution, install Tosca Distribution Agents on the machines on which you want to run your agents.

Tosca Distributed Execution works with two types of Tosca Distribution Agent:

• Execution Agent which can only execute TestCases created with Engines 3.0.

• A full installation of Tosca Commander which can execute TestCases created with Classic engines, Engines 3.0, or both.

To take advantage of the performance improvements that Tosca Distributed Execution offers, install the Tosca Distribution Server and the Tosca Distribution Agents on separate machines.

Install Execution Agent as Tosca Distribution Agent

To install Execution Agent, select Execution Agent in the Type section of the Tricentis Tosca installer.

This installs Execution Agent with the default configuration which includes the following features:

• License management GUI

• Mobile Engine 3.0

• Execution Agent does not start automatically upon system startup

Install Tosca Commander as Tosca Distribution Agent

To install Tosca Commander as your Tosca Distribution Agent, select Tosca Commander in the Type section of the Tricentis Tosca standard installation.
